so, my sissy is dating this really bossy guy. not that i don't think she needs a little bossing every now and then, but he's very critical of her as well. from what i can tell, it's not in a hostile way or even in a mind-fucking kind of way like a past ex of hers...but i don't think a relationship consisting of constant evaluations and criticisms is a healthy one. i'm sure i'm only hearing the more dramatic stuff and none of the sweet nothings he's whispering..or even anything about the regular every day kind of normalcy that goes on.
i've spent my life trying to provide helpful suggestions that she's completely resistant to. this guy comes along and within months she's jumping every time he says to. now, let me reiterate that i think it's good that she's getting her shit together, regardless of who is being the inspiration, but I don't like guys who are very demanding and not reciprocating. he criticizes her house keeping (yes, worth criticizing sometimes) but he's never invited her over to his place, ever. please! i'd be like "not another word from you on my housekeeping until i see what pile of laundry you're sleeping in." he doesn't hang out with her friends or go out socially when he's invited. he will take her out a million times over to every other place that she'd never normally go..probably so she won't run into anyone she knows, and only on his terms. i just don't like that kind of monopolization. she eats it up like candy though, and all i can do is tell her how i don't like that part of him. not that i know that much about him since i've only laid eyes on him twice ever. one day maybe she'll stop making excuses for him and tell him to participate in her regular every day life a little.
